On November 5th, the "2024 World Textile Industry Trends Outlook Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report") was released in Keqiao, Zhejiang.

Based on the resources and achievements accumulated over the past five years, the organizing committee of the World Textile and Apparel Fair, together with national ministries, authoritative research institutions, research institutes, and well-known enterprises at home and abroad, invited dozens of top experts in the field of textile and clothing to jointly compile.
By sorting out the development trajectory and structural changes of the global textile industry, comparing the regional advantages and development gaps of the global textile industry, the report points out that technology driven, digital reality integrated innovation, cultural leadership, and responsibility oriented are the major trends for the future development of the industry; By interpreting and analyzing innovative achievements and practical cases across the entire industry chain and multiple dimensions, the report guides the future innovation direction of high-quality, high-performance, high-value, and high standard products.
Data shows that in 2022, the total export value of textiles and clothing worldwide reached 915 billion US dollars, of which China's export value was 340.95 billion US dollars. The export trade volume of China's textile industry to the "the Belt and Road" co construction countries exceeded 120 billion US dollars, accounting for about 40% of global exports, and the cumulative direct investment amount accounted for more than 40% of total global investment. This indicates that Chinese textiles play a constructive role in stabilizing the global supply chain and are an important area for promoting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The report points out that in the future, China's textile industry, based on its unique advantages, will become an important link between developed and underdeveloped economies, seeking new opportunities and patterns for cooperation and win-win outcomes in the global textile and clothing industry chain through market development and industrial renewal.
The report will be released by the 2023 International Textile Manufacturers Association Shaoxing Keqiao Conference in China and the 6th World Cloth Merchants Conference · Theme Conference. At the same time, the conference also released the "Action Plan for Building a Modern 'International Textile Capital' in Keqiao District" and the "Silk Road Keqiao Global" public platform of China Textile City.
The 2023 International Textile Manufacturers Association Shaoxing Keqiao Conference and the 2023 6th World Cloth Merchants Conference are guided by the International Textile Manufacturers Association, the Asia Pacific Retailers Association Alliance, and the International Fashion Alliance. They are hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation, the China Chamber of Commerce, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Shaoxing Municipal People's Government.
