On June 19, 2023, the China National Textile and Apparel Council organized an appraisal meeting in Beijing for the "Key Technology Research and Industrialization of New Sanitary Hot Air Nonwoven Materials" project, jointly undertaken by Tianjin University of Technology, Beijing Qinghe Sanmao Textile Group Co., Ltd., and Beijing Jinglan Nonwoven Co., Ltd. The appraisal committee believes that the overall achievements of the project have reached the leading level in China, with the preparation technology of same core "wrinkled skin" and eccentric hollow hot air nonwoven materials reaching the international advanced level. The brief introduction of the project research results is as follows:
1、 Project research background
In recent years, the overall market size of disposable sanitary products has been continuously expanding, and consumer demand has been increasing. At the same time, with the gradual acceptance of the concept of big health by the public, especially the adjustment of population policies and the intensification of aging, health products related to infant and child care, home care, and healthy elderly care have attracted much attention, and have developed from meeting basic physiological needs to comfort, greenness, and personalization. At present, the high-end market is mainly occupied by foreign products. Although the prices of disposable sanitary products in China are generally low, the quality gap is difficult to offset through price. Developing sanitary materials with multiple uses for surface and flow guiding layers is crucial for the development of China's disposable hygiene products industry.
2、 Main innovation points of the project
The project has designed a low curl ES fiber hot air processing technology and developed a new type of hot air hygiene material for the 3S imitation surface layer, which is fluffy, soft, and has a smooth style.
The project developed a rapid cooling hot air processing technology, based on the difference in thermal shrinkage between the same core/eccentric core ES fiber skin and core layers, to in-situ prepare hot air non-woven materials in the "wrinkled skin" state of fibers, which improved the breathability, diffusion area, infiltration speed, and anti reverse permeability of sanitary materials.
3、 Industrialization and application of the project
The project has developed a series of new hot air nonwoven materials, established a research and development center, set up a production demonstration line, achieved large-scale production of related products, promoted the high-quality and new development of hot air nonwoven products, and achieved good economic and social benefits.
